So I had a horrible day – and it was all because of Google Checkout.

dapwords.wordpress.com writes:

People who try the Google Checkout while shopping at a variety of stores such as Buy.com or Toysrus.com, are rewarded with either a $10 or $30 savings. It appears to be working as new people are giving the service a shot: me included. What a disaster. Now google Google checkout and prepare yourself for the list of complaints. Transactions are slow. Orders are inexplicably cancelled. People are double charged. Furthermore Google offers no live customer service and all questions are fielded through email which they rarely if ever answer.

I will not be using Buy.com or Google Checkout ever again.

Gaussj says:

So, it seems like google checkout is just taking cash out from your credit cards, lending that money on hig APY to banks and making profit and it seems to consumers that they are doing something nice.
Bottomline is to stop using Google checkout.

Allan says:

What should I do? No response from the seller or from GCO. My $320 is missing and I need to receive this item ASAP. Should I cancel this order and buy from another seller (not GCO-based)?

 Mary says:

Google checkout messed up my order with Toys R Us and Toys R Us says to contact Google and Google says they’ll contact Toys R Us but that I should contact them too. Toys R Us doesn’t show receiving any response from Google. I am canceling my account with Google and denying the charges!

Dear Google,
We don’t want some automated email response after 2 days. We want real customer service. A real phone number that has a real live person on the other end. Thank-you.
