Windows Vista Build 5728 Released

September 25th, 2006 Kirb No comments

Windows Vista Build 5728 has been released.

This build (5728) has a number of improvements and updates from RC1, but has not been put through the same internal testing process as RC1 and therefore may be unstable in certain installations. We are making this release available for a limited time only (and only by download) in order to get broad distribution and testing in a variety of PC configurations. Please note: This build may not have the same level of support or servicing via Windows Update, and you may not be able to upgrade to the final version of Windows Vista.

I’ve downloaded it already and I’m now installing it. Hopefully before too long I’ll be able to let you know how stable it is.

No one works at the Googleplex??

Windows Live Local Blog writes:

It was decided to deploy the fleet of Microsoft Blackhawks to capture the highest resolution imagery possible of all of MSN’s competitor’s headquarters and monitor them 24/7. While we were at it, we photographed each location from 4 different angles allowing us to rotate our view to monitor them from North, South, East and West. The first intel from our recon is in, and it has been revealed that no one actually works at the Googleplex given the barren parking lots.

:) You gotta love their humor.

Windows Vista RC 1 Installed

I’ve just installed Microsoft Windows Vista RC 1, and I must admit I’m impressed. It’s a lot more stable. In fact I’m tempted to install it as my primary Operating System. :) Quicker install, no driver problems, no blue screens of death (yet), and a whole lot more make this a very attractive and useable Operating system.

On a side note, here are some Microsoft Windows Vista Wallpapers from the 5600 Build. You can also find more Vista Wallpapers here.
